Base2Space 2018 - FIGHT CANCER!

“We’re doing this for Mama!”

On Sunday, September 30th, my dear friend, Jennifer Cooley, and I will be climbing the open-air stairwell of the Space Needle from Base to Space, 832 steps/98 flights of stairs/520 feet in the air.  This climb is in support for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.  We will be grateful for your help to reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 to develop cures for cancer before we climb the Space Needle on Sunday, September 30th.

This goal and event is in honor of friends recently diagnosed with cancer, those fighting cancer and in memory of Jennifer's Mother,  Sally Bock.  Sally was born on April 5, 1958 and was initially diagnosed in 2013 with brain cancer, Glioblastoma, which she fought and beat.  However, she was re-diagnosed in 2017 and passed away on May 15, 2018.  Sally was 60 years old.

We will be grateful for your help as we work to achieve our fundraising goal of $10,000 to support Fred Hutchinson, which is dedicated to preventing, detecting and treating cancer and other diseases. The organization has played an integral role in eliminating over two dozen types of cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
