Realogics Sotheby's International Realty Ranks Amongst the Top Ten Largest Residential Real Estate Brands in Washington, According to Trendgraphix

Global Real Estate Firm is Fastest-Growing with Highest Average Selling Price and Greater Production on a Per Broker Basis

Executives of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (“RSIR”) are pleased to be ranked among the top ten largest real estate brands in Washington State according to a recent report by Trendgraphix as of May 2016 based upon the trailing 12 months of total sales volume. The data suggests that amongst its peer group of established brokerage firms, RSIR is the fastest-growing, increasing its unit volume and gross sales volume by 25-percent and 53-percent, respectively year-to-date (May 2016) compared with 2015. Also noteworthy, RSIR consistently maintains the highest average listing and buyer side sales values and the greatest production on a per broker basis compared with its peers. As an independently owned and operated franchise, RSIR does not aggregate or report the sales activity of other affiliates in Washington.

“These statistics further validate the power of our brand, our marketing prowess and the hard work of our dedicated real estate professionals. Our agents have earned the trust of our valued clients by acting as industry change agents proudly serving all property types and price points," said Jennifer Johnsen, Vice President of Brand Development. “When combined, all these factors are having the intended effect in our industry.”

Johnsen notes that RSIR’s innovative approach to broker micro-branding through dedicated websites and short films; the development of exclusive advertising platforms; marketing leadership that reaches local and global homebuyers; and new construction services have helped to differentiate the company within a commoditized industry. Among RSIR’s recent accomplishments are the opening of an Asia Services Center targeting overseas homebuyers, the redeployment of a new construction services team, and the launch of the all-new corporate website RSIR.com, which is linked to more than 1.25 million unique visits per month.

“We are proud of our rich heritage with the Sotheby's brand dating back to 1744. We honor that commitment to excellence by the brokers we employ, who create exceptional results for the clients we represent," adds Johnsen.

Recently, RSIR was ranked in the seventh position on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 2016 “Book of Lists” for “Largest Residential Real Estate Firms,” posting $800 million in 2015 residential home sales in the Puget Sound region. The firm was noted for having the highest average selling price at $767,000 among the top ten largest companies.

To be sure, the Sotheby’s International Realty brand has also grown worldwide. The network is now comprised of more than 19,000 affiliated independent sales associates located in approximately 845 offices in 63 countries and territories. On May 16 – 18, approximately 2,300 members of the brand joined its leadership during the Global Networking Event (“GNE”) in Las Vegas with more than 165 companies representing 40 countries in attendance. The growth of the brand is expected to exceed $100 billion in US sales in 2016.

“Our Global Networking Event celebrates the strength of the Sotheby’s International Realty network,” said Philip White, President of the global real estate brand. “This year’s conference was our most attended ever and it is incredible to see how members of our network continue to utilize the resources we provide, take the reins and develop their own new opportunities and continue to grow their business. We are proud of our network, our heritage and our future, and the success of this year’s Global Networking Event is the culmination of it all.”

RSIR had 55 team members attend the GNE, nearly a quarter of the company, and one of the highest percentages of participation according to event organizers. By invitation, three RSIR executives collaborated on promoted breakout sessions including Dean Jones, President and CEO, who co-hosted a new developments program; Stacy Jones, Owner and Vice President, who led a discussion on cross promotions and lifestyle branding; and Andrea Savage, Vice President of Marketing, who presented on marketing to a standing room only audience. Both Dean Jones and Andrea Savage were also invited to act as “sphere captains” for New Developments and Marketing, respectively.

As a Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate, RSIR and its clients also benefit from an association with the Sotheby's Auction House, allowing the firm’s sales associates the opportunity for real estate referrals with auction house clientele as well as the unique ability to refer real estate clientele for appraisal services for jewelry, art, antique furniture and collectibles.
